CURE FOR DIABETES.
INQUIRIES BEING MADE. [BX TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL REPOR.TEB.J WELLING-tfON, Monday.
The information contained in a cablegram from New York to the effect that a serum had been discovered which could be used for the treatment, of diabetes, was mentioned in the House to-night by Mr. 1 J. A. Young (Waikato), who said he ■wished to bring it under the notice of the Minister for Health, because there were so many people who suffered *"from thia complaint and saw no hope of being cured. He asked the Minister whether the Department of Health had any information on tho subject, and, if so. whether the information would be made public. In the event of the information not being in the possession of the department, he asked that an endeavour be made to find out what the serum was and whether it could be used effectively, The Hon. C. J. Parr replied that he had referred the matter to the officers of the department, who had informed him that they had no information on the subject, bu*b were making inquiries.
