.<►. OPPOSITION IN WAIKATO. [BY TKLEGRAI-H. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWA.MUTU. Saturday. A largely-attended meeting of liberal delegates to-day selected Mr. F. Lye, dairy farmer, of Pukekura, to contest the Waikato scat. The meeting was unanimous in its selection. M>r. Wilford having left the choice of a party candidate to the delegates Mr. Lye becomes the official Libera,! candidate.
