MOTOR-CAR IN FLAMES.
EIODY TOTALLY DESTROYED.
A motor-car caught fire at H. 15 p.m. yesterday in the Mount Albert-Onehunga lioad, close to the scoria pit aft Mount .Mberfc. The car was a five-seater, owned by Mr. J. W. Jones, of Park View Road. It was being driven along the road when engine trouble developed and the driver stopped the car. He alighted to ■ investigate and the car burst into flames. The Mount Albert brigade was summoned, but the body of the cat' was destroyed before the brigade coruld give any assistance. The damage is estimated at £5100., A curiouLi feature of the occurrence is that the engine was not affected, and the driver was able to driv© away the remains oi! his car under its own power.
