M. VENIZELOS IN LONDON.

ASSISTING NEW REGIME. ADVICE ON FOREIGN POLICY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Uecd. E. 5 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 1. M. Venizelos, who has arrived here, visited the Foreign Office, though he lias not yet seen the Marquis Curzon, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, but will do so to-morrow. Ho seems determined to assist the new Greek regime at any rate to the extent of advising it upon its foreign policy. He has accepted the duty of the direction of national questions abroad. He will act as Greek Ambassador abroad.

A telegram from Athens states that it is understood M. Venizelos has been asked to return, but awaits further develop •ruents.
