LOAN FOR HAMILTON.
ALL PROPOSALS CARRIED. SUM OF £149,600 INVOLVED. STREETS AND DRAINAGE. [BY TEtEGBAPH—OWN COBRESPONDEM.] HAMILTON. Thursday. Loan proposals involving £149,000 were submitted to a poll of Hamilton ratepayers to-day. Although larger than usual, the polling was not heavy. All the proposals were carried by a large majority in each case. Five issues were submitted, and the result was as follows :— £80,000 for streets and footpaths: For the proposal, 755; against, 196. £10,000 for waterworks additions: For the proposal, 598; against, 164. £7000 for sewerage and dumps: For the proposal, 619; against, 144. £30,000 for drainage, Frankton special area: For the proposal, 189; against, 37. £22,000 for drainage, Hamilton special area: For the proposal, 445; against, 121.
