NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. TRADE AND EDUCATION. A, and N.Z. ' DELHI, Sept. 15. The Afghan Consuls to Paris and Berlin passed through Lahore. The latter gave interesting details of the conditions in Afghanistan during the short time available. He said that Afghanistan was making great headway in trade and education and had opened some thousands of new schools. British, Italian, Russian, Persian, Turkish, Bokharan, and Chinese embassies had already arrived in Kabul, and French and German were expected directly. He explained that the journey to Kabul is not difficult nowadays, but the railways have not yet commenced running. A largo crowd" welcomed the Afghan envoys at Lahore station.
