Tlie Berlin correspondent of the Matin learns on reliable authority that Herr Havenstein, chairman of the Reichsbank, whom the Government is sending to London, will propose that, the Bank of England undertake to guarantee for six months the payment to Belgium of 70,000,000 gold, marks, which the Reichsbank undertakes to pay the Bank of England within 18 months. The Paris Figaro says that hope of reaching an agreement by the Reparation Commission has not been lost. A compromise has been reached, and will be submitted to Brussels and Berlin.
