WEEK'S WEATHER RECORD.
CONDITIONS IN THE CITY. RAINFALL TOTALS TWO INCHES. Two inches of rain fell in Auckland during the week ended at 9 a.m. yesterday, as registered at Alber s t Park by the offkial observer, Mr. F. A. F. Burnett. Nearly an inch fell during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. on Monday, 99 points being registered. In the succeeding JM , hours 49 points fell, and there were only two days in which no fall was recorded. The total for the week was 2.1 in., bringing the total for the month to date to 2.3 in. . Changeable weather was experienced during the week, with several cold, dull days and cool nights. The total amount of bright sunshine recorded! showed » marked decrease on the. previous week'ji total, being only 29 hours 55 minutes, compared with 47 hours 15 minutes. Th* longest period occurred on Wednesday, whm 9 hours 15 minutes was recorded. On Saturday the period was 7 hours 10 minutes There was no bright. Ruwhin* on Friday and only 15 minutes last Sanday. The minimum temperature on the grass fell 11 degrees during Tuesday night. On Monday morning the highest reading.-65 degrees, was recorded, a decrease of fou? degrees being shown the following morning. This was followed by a decrease fr» 40 degrees on Wednesday morning, th» lowest reading for tha 'yeek. Thprs w» little variation in the temperature forth* remainder of the we>;k, though 42 degree* was recorded on Thursday morning. Considerable variations were shown in the wind velocitv. The lowest was 93 miles during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. on Thursday, and the highest 275 miles, during the 24 'hours ended at' 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
