STOCKS AND SHARES.

The tone of the Auckland sharcmarket was again good on Saturday. There was fair inquiry for Government stocks, a sale being effected in Soldiers' Loan (inscribed stock) at £99 7s 6d"i Other buyers offered tho sanio figure, sellers quoting £99 12s 6d. In banks Commercials were wanted at 345, no sellers quoting. There were buyers for New Zealands at 555, sellers 55s 9d. In insurances Nationals at 69s had buyers at 655. New Zealands were wanted at 28s, sellers quoting 28s 9d South British were on offer at 37s 3d. There was inquiry for a number of miscellaneous stocks, but ro business resulted. In mining sales were made of Moanatal.vris at 4s and 3s lid. Waihis were inquired for at 27s 9d, sellers 28s 3d. Grand Junctions wanted at 9s lOd were quoted at 10s 2d. The following sales took place: — Soldiers' Loan (inscribed stock), £93 7s 6d; Moanataiari, 4s, 3s lid.
