BANKRUPTS' DISCHARGES.

HAMILTON APPLICATIONS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Saturday. A number of applications for discharge from bankruptcy were board by Mr. Justice Stringer in the Supreme Court today. The application of Frederick G. Budd (Mr. Strang) was suspended for six months,, the Judge stating that he did this to show his disapproval of bankrupt's action in returning his partner's money before paying his creditors. An application by Alexander J. W. Annan (Mr. Northcroft) for a discharge from bankruptcy was opposed by Mr. C. L. MacDiarmid on the ground that the petition was filed merely to defeat a judgment entered against him by the Supreme Court. The Judge said he thought bankrupt should pay 10s in the £, and granted a discharge subject to this amount being paid. ' Discharges were granted in the following cases: —Albert Henrv Balden (Mr. MacDiarmid), Fred. C. Cuff (Mr. Oliphant), Arnold E. Rhodes (Mr. Oliphant), Thomas Knox (Mr. MacDiarmid), J. D. A. Painton (Mr. Hampson). James Fogerty (Mr. Northcroft), Arthur J. Withers (Mr. McMullen). Edward Johnson (Mr. Tudhope).
