PREPARATIONS IN BRITAIN.
SELECTION OF CANDIDATES.

The Labour Party is endorsing over 400 candidates for the general election, including 71 out of the 75 present Labour members in the House, of Commons. Over 2400 local Labour organisations throughout the country, with 800 women's sections, with a membership of 80,000, are associated with the trades unions in nominating about half of the Parliamentary candidates. The others include a dozen women.
