At «, epecial meeting of the executive of the Otago Boiine Association, held this evening, the following . resolution was carried:—"After hearing (he opinions of Messrs. W. G. Hay and J. B. Callan, which j entirely agree with the opinion of our own solicitor, Mr. B. S. Irwin, this oonaiaitteo is of opinion the New Zealand Eoxins Council had no to come to the decision it did in the McLi>ary-McQuarrie contest for tho heavy-weight championship of New Zealand. With a view to removing any possibility of friction between the council and this committee, tho council be re-, epectfully requested to rescind its decision.
