MISHAP TO FOOTBALLERS. [by telegeaph.—own coebespondent.] CAMBRIDGE. Saturday. A motor-car load of Putaruru footballers had a narrow escape from a serious accident to-day. They were coming to Cambridge to play, and when rounding a corner in Ferguson's Gully, eight miles out, their car almost collided with a car gmngnvthe opposite direction, and driven by a lady. To avoid this car, the footballers car had to turn suddenly, and the car capsized. Messrs, D. Turey and Allen were pinned underneath and had to be extricated. Mr. Woollams received a very severe wound on the head from the_ wind ■- screen. The other members luckily escaped. Tne car was extensive!* damaged. - . _
