WEST AUCKLAND CLUB.
The West Auckland Flying Clnb flew a. race from Te Awamutu. an air-line distance of 86 miles to the winning bird's loft, on Saturday. Ninety birds competed, representing 12 lofts. The first six were: — R. S. Button's Moa, 1109 yds, 1; J. Griffiths'* Master Waverley. 1034 yds. 2; A. Mayail's Purple Sage, 1053 yds. 3; T. Farmer's Christmas Carol, 1049.7yd5, 4j E. Mayail's Le Sentenell, 1049.4yd5, 5; -J. G. McFarlane's Waitara, 1048 yds, 6.
THE AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Racing Pigeon Club held its first race of the o'id-bird season from Huntly on Saturday. After a late liberation the following velocities were recorded: — H. Dumper's Prince Albert. 1083 yds, 1; Ryan Bros.' Wild West, 1077yde. 2; N. Waddell's Young Douglas, 1074 yds, 3; A. G. May's Mosaic. 1063 yds. 4; W. Shields Adam. 1047yda, 5; G. Chapman's Royal Present. 1047,7yd5. 6.
