SEVAN BEFORE THE COURT. CHARGED ON FOUR COUNTS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Heed. 4.5 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. IS. Gerard Lee Bevan, late chairman of directors of thet City Equitable Fire Insurance Company, who waa extradited from Vienna, vraa charged at the Guildhall to-day with publishing false ba3ancesbeefa o! the company in 1919 and 1920, publishing a prospectus containing false statements, fraudulent conversion of money, and obtaining money by fates pretences by inducing persona to take shares to the company. The case was remanded for a week.
