YORKSHIRE STILL IN LEAD. A. *nd N.Z. LONDON. Aug. \i. Hampshire, 115 and 59 for five wickets, defeated Yorkshire, 56 and 116, winning by five wickets. The victory was chiefly due to fine bowling by Kennedy and Boyes, who took 11 ivickets for 73 runs and nine for 78 respectively. For Yorkshire Waddington took eight wickets for 35 and three for 34. Leicester, 148 and 245, beat Sussex, 217 and 1.54. Kent, 170 and 209 for eight wickets declared, beat Somerset, 114 and 130. Freeman took seven wickets for 36. -L. Lancashire, 83 and 196 for one wicker (Hallows 102 not out), beat Derbyshire, 125 and 153. Surrey, 355 and 23 for one wicket (Hol)bs 112), beat Middlesex, 173 and 201. Yorkshire retains its lead in the'eounty championship table in spite of its defeat, with a percentage of 74.4, Notts being second with 72.17, and Surrey third with 70.
