In Government stocks, War Loans, 1930, changed hands at £96, with further buyers at £95, and no late sellers. Soldiers' Loans (inscribed stock) ebld at £99 53, at which figure more were sought, late sellers £99 10s. Bonds in the same loan had demand at £99, sellers asking £99 10s. In banks there were sales in Commercials at 32s 3d, with buyers left at 325, and no late sellers. New Zealandsi sold at 55s 3d and 55s 6d, more being wanted* at the higher price, sellers closing at 565. Offers of £13 5s for P. and O.'s produced no resnonse. In insurances South British had sale at 38s 6d, sellers closing at 395. Business was done in Standards at 31s. New Zealands (ex div.) had sellers at 27s 9d. Other investment stocks had good inquiry but the only sale was in Northern Steams (paid ut>) at 12a lOd. In miscellaneous lines Wilsons Cements were done at 18s lOd, several parcels changing hands. In mininz Waihis sold at 28s 3d, sellers closing at 28s 9d, buyers at 28s 3d. Waihi Grand Junction at 9s 6d were wanted at 8s 6d. TJiere was a seller of German marks at 3000 to the £. The following sales took place:— New Zealand War Loan, 1930, £96; Soldiers' Loan (inscribed stock) £99 ss; Commercial Bank, 32s 3d; Bank of New Zealand, 55s 3d, 55s 6d; South British, 38s 6d; Standard Insurance, 31s; Northern Steamship (paid up), 12s lOd; Wilsons Cement, 18s lOd; Waihi, 28s 3d
