TECHNICAL COLLEGE SOCIAL.
A social and dance attended by about 200 students of • the Scddon Memorial Technical College was held in St. Benedict's Hall on Tuesday evening. Mrs. N. E. Ferner and Messrs. T. Bloodworth, H. S. W. King, J. A. C. Allum, J. Woodall, and S. I. Crookes, members of the Board of Managers, were also present. The programme consisted of dances, competitions, games, and items contributed by students. Sir. King, in an address on behalf of the board, suggested in view of the talent displayed the production of a school play. He referred to the absence of a, school song, and announced that Mr. Neve, a college instructor, had offered a prize of £5 to the studont who produced words and music for a song that would pass a test as baing worthy of adoption as a "school song. Kefreshments were served by the domestic science students of the college under the supervision of Misses Price and Anderson.
