Among those present was Mr. G. Troup, president of the Wellington Boys' Institute, and president of the WeUmgsra Young Citizens' League. The president said 1 the wort <;f ths league during the past year had bee» one of great, progress and success." Iti objects could only be attained by extending its work over tho whole Dominion,- and much had been done in this 'direction by the delegation that visited the - Southern centres last year. The new branches of the League that had heen formed were doing good work, and the Christcharch organisation, in particular, had greatly developed the formation of.-rolls of membership in the schools. The Northern Wairoa League, which was doing very effective work, had extended its influence to the country schools, in connection with which 16 clubs had been formed. New clubs, including two new girls' clubs, had been formed in Auckland. In two schools membership rolls had been formed, but this Bide of the work had not.been developed to the same extent as in Christchurch, chiefly owing to the lack of time on the part of those who have to do the work. The Auckland League was receiving splendid support from the whole community. The importance of the school membership rolls was referred to. Reference was made to the active interest in the work that was being evinced by the Victoria League, the Rotary Club, the Y.M.C.A.,- the Governor-General, and Lady Jellicoe, the Mayor oi! Auckland, and many others. The work of the organising secretary, ■;■ whose whole time and heart had been given to the* work, was also alluded to. Rev. S. A. Goldstein, in ljaoving that Mr. Cutten be re-elected president, paid a high tribute to the splendid work done by Mr. Cutten on behalf of the young people of the Dominion since the inception of the league, which he felt was now on the high road to success. The motion was carried unanimously, Mr. J. EL Macky was appointed a vicepresident. Messrs. E. C. Purdie (vicepresident), Dr., C. E. Maguira (honorary medical adviser), C. J.
