The Gc /ernmeru meteorologist reported last night as follows:—Present indications are for high north-west to south-west winds, unsottled, squally weather, and rain probable generally, and heavy rain with flooded rivers in Westland and Otago. The barometer is unsteady. MR. C. L\ WRAGGE'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 7.30 last evening:—The entire Dominion is now under the influence of the Antarctic disturbance Nahalal, and in these circumstances conditions remain favourable for further unsettled weather, with rain, under north-westerly to southwesterly winds. Intervals of clearing sky should be a feature, and matters in the northern districts of the North Island should be somewhat better than in more southern parts Seas rough. Much snow is likely over the southern mountains, with raw cold aa the winds veer southerly. RAINFALL RECORDS. Fall in city for 24 bour3 ended midnight. Aug. 15 (Beuai/d gauge) ,17ln.
