It is officially stated that the men arrested for the murder of Dr. Ratheniu are a Berlin student named Techow, a Saxon named Fischer, and a native of Mecklenburg named Kauer.
Altogether eight arrests have been made, all members of the Monarchist organisation. They include Techow's brother, a student, aged 21, who, it is believed, drove the murderers' motor-car, another student, who it is alleged, was the chief conspirator, and who worked out the details of the murder, and Schutt, of Berlin, from whose garage tho assassins obtained the motor-car.
Von Killinger, who was acquitted on a charge of aiding the murderers of Herr Erzberger, has also been arrested in connection with Dr. Rathenau's assassinatib i.
The Berlin correspondent of the xjaily Express states that Techow, Fischer and Kauer are members of the notorious Monarchist organisation, Consul, and formerly belonged to the Ehrhardt brigade. They are said to have confessed not only to the murders of Dr. Rather.au and Herr Erzberger, but also regarding the inner workings of the Consul.
Facts relating to 100 political murders committed since 1919, which hitherto have been a complete mystery, are now fully known to the police.
Other startling revelations regarding the intimate relations between Ludendorff, Helferich, Von Jagow, Count Westarp, the leader of the Prussian Conservatives, and the murderers of Dr. Bathenau were disclosed by the arrest of a student named Gunther, who alleged that ho secured the motor-car for Dr. Rathenaa's assassins. It is understood that Ludendorff, Helferich and Count Westarp, fearing arrest, are contemplating flight.
