NEW ZEALAND SUCCESSES. A. *ad N.Z. June 80. At the annual sheep show the following awards of interest to New Zealand were made :—Border Leicesters: Ram, 2yrs. and over, J. Nixon, 3; two rams, lyr. and under, D. Grant, 3 ; ram, under lyr., Grant, commended and very highly commended; pens of rams, Grant, 3; Nixon, commended. English Leicesters: Ram, 2yrs. and over, Nixon, I '. ewe, Nixon, 3; two rama, lyr. and under, Nixon, 1; ewe, Nix/m, 2; grand champion ram, Nixon; reserve champion ram, Nixon; competition in this class was restricted to G. Brunskill (Wagga) and J. Nixon, the former securing first honours in the ewe section. Corriedales : Ram, C. H. Ensor, 2 ; ewe, any age, C. H. Ensor, 1. In the iAcyp dog trials there were 27 competitors. The first tested was Collie Laddie, imported from New Zealand, who gave a meritorious performance and penned his sheep in 13 minutes, after taking Hi minutes to force them through the no*.
