DEVONPORT LOAN.
Sir, —Permit mo to respectfully thank Messrs. Fraer. Little, and Linder "for their prompt presentation of the case* for the " other side." I made a statement in public regarding the raising of the loan, but was told at the meeting by Mr. Fraer 'that I had made an incorrect statement. I a«ked Mr. Fraer at the time—Mr. Little was with him—to state where the statement was incorrect. This waa before I published my letter. Mr. Fraer refused to state a case, although he promised to do so. However, there is no need to write more. Interested ratepayers can take alone the committee's reply to my letter and compare it with the report at council chambers of proceedings of general council meeting, at which the whole matter wis discussed. Pebby-Tatlob.
