"FLIGHT OF THE SOUL."
"The Flight of an Immortal Soul" was the title of a lecture by Mr. Clement Wragge at the Grand Theatre last evening, this being part one of the subject. The discourse treat* of an Indian youth, Ahmed, who longs to see the universe and who yearns for God.and truth. It deals with his varied experiences in India, at Oxford University, and then India again in' all the many phases of life in that ancient country. The views embraced those ot India generally, the terrible famines, the plague, and the Maharajah's palaces, with the burning ghat at Benches. At length Ahmed, weary of the inconsistencies of earth life, finds Azarel, his guardian angel, who agrees to lead him through the awful depths of the endless cosmos. The lecture, which is beautifully pictured, will be continued next Sunday.
