There has been a good deal of dissatisfaction through this district in regard to the delay in dealing with Waikato River problems in terms of the commission's report. The setting up of a Waikato River Board, one of the prime recommendations of the commission, requires legislation, and at last night's meeting of the Chamber of Commerce,, at which the secretary of tne Waikato Waterways Committee wa 8 present it was decided to write to the members' of Parliament affected, Messrs. Jennings. Bollard, Young, Poland Rhodes, and Massev, expressing general dissatisfaction with the position. Applicants for telephones in Nganiawahia hava had to po»se»3 their sou 1b m patience for a long time past, but it has fceon arranged that a gang shall visit tn© town to connect np and insfcal fcho ho telephones at present on the wailing list. This vrill raise the telephone exchange to the 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. grade.
