DYNAMITE OUTRAGE.
TWO POLICEMEN KILLED. A. and. N.Z. CHICAGO. Ma.y 10.
Two policemen were shot dead and three wore dynamited by Labour extremists, who opposed the arbitrators' award in a building trades dispute. The policemen wcro killed in endeavouring to prevent the bombing of a glass plant, the terrorists firing a volley on them.
MELBOURNE GAS WORKERS.

An important development. has occurred in the gasworkers' dispute. The gas companies have declined to postpone a reduction in wages or to discuss tho question of wages with tho union. The union has convened a meeting for Sunday to decide whether to strike. Grave fears are entertained that tho employees will cease work on Monday:
