•' STANDING BY BRITAIN." A. and N.Z- LONDON. May 9. A typically British touch was added to a keen controversy in the London press regarding the Times attitude to the Genoa Conference. The Evening News, following the lead of the other Northcliffe papers, issued a poster to-day: "We stand by France and Belgium." Immediately the Pall Mall Gazette had 0 n the streets another poster declaring: "We stand by Britain."
