CELEBRATION OF JUBILEE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] . / HAMILTON. Tuesday. The employees of the Waikato Times gathered round the stone after the issue of the first edition this morning to do honour to Mr. A. E. Manning, the_ managing director, on the occasion oil the paper's jubilee. Mr. E. E. Hooper, the editor, said ho had been deputed by the staff to request Mr. Manning to accept a small memento of the event they were celebrating. In proffering the little souvenir they desired him to regard it aa a token of the respect, the esteem, and he could add without the slightest mental reservation the affection of a united and contented staff, whose hope was «>"<*- tively and individually that he would bo long*spared to rule over them. •' , Mr. G. Buckland and Mr. A. English voiced the feelings of the mechanical and commercial staffs in similar strain. Mr. Manning said he regarded it as one of the happiest moments of his lite. He wanted each member of the staff to regard him as their friend, and assurer! them that he would continue to take an interest in them personally, and do all possible to conserve their comfort and material welfare. • '
