SEEKING EXTERMINATION.
USE OF VIRUS ADVOCATED. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, May 1.
A conference of tho Western Districts branches of the Agricultural Bureau resolved to ask tho Government, in view of the widespread damage resulting from tho mouse plague, to negotiate with the Pasteur Institute to introduce a virus for the spread of disease among mice. Statements havo been mado showing that mice are still widely ravaging the wheatfields, and also that tho last mouse plaguo caused the loss of wheat valued at £1,000.000, besides untold loss on farms and in homes.
