UNIFORM HOSPITAL FEES.
DEPARTMENT'S PROPOSAL [by telegraph—own correspondent] WA.VGANTJI. Wednesday. The proposal of the Department of Public Health to make uniform the fees at public hospitals— 9s a day or three guineas a week—was discussed by the local Hospital Board today, and met with some opposition. The question was adjourned until the next meeting. One speaker who supported the proposal said he thought it was time the burden was lifted to some extent from the ia* dustrial people and placed on what ho called the "dignified loafers, 1 ' 1
