WAIMANA'S IMMIGRANTS.

LARGE DRAFT ARRIVES. [by telegram.—press association.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. The Waimana arrived yesterday from London with 1190 immigrants. A large percentage of the newcomers are youthful, and many are children. The voyage was uneventful until the Waimana was approaching the coast, when the ship encountered rough weather, and as she was flying light, she laboured heavily. Twentyone of the children brought by the Waimana are war orphans, who have come out under the auspices of the Salvation Army. Fourteen boys will he sent at once to the Army's 'farm at Putarum, and sevon girls will remain in the Army Home at Wellington to bo trained for domestic service.
