COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS.
SUCCESSFUL LADIES' NIGHT Tho " ladies' night" held by tho Auckland Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association at their club on Saturday was a most enjoyable func turn, tho class of musical items supplied being of high order. The president, Mr. A. Thompson, presided over a gathering of 120 members and lady friends, and the programme was in the hands of Mr. M. Lewis, chairman of the Social Committee. The cup presented by Mr. Ernest D-avies, vice-patron, for perpetual competition at the annual sports and picnic was formally presented to Mr. T. J. Virtue, who received a gold medal in honour of the occasion and whose name was inscribed on the cup. Supper was served in the billiard room which was decorated for the occasion, and at the close of the function the audience joined in the National Anthem. Items were contributed by Mrs. Eva Sharp, Mrs. W. Morris, Mrs. Kilmartin, Miss Thelma Lewis, and Messrs. M. Lewis, Lamont Gir, McFarlane, D. Flood, H. Ware, E. C S. Hamlin, and G. Smith. Mr. L. Elliott provided excellent accompaniments.
