BRITISH COALITION.
UNIONIST M.P.'S CONFER.
DISRUPTION NOT WANTED.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association, (Reed. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, March' 14.
A meeting of 200 Unionist and Conservative members of the House of Commons discussed the Coalition. Several " die-bards" dissented from the Government's Irish policy, but the feeling of the meeting was strongly against any action which would have the effect of dividing the Unionist Party. No desire was evinced to end the Coalition or withdraw support from the Unionist leaders. NEW SOLICITOR-GENERAL UNOPPOSED RETURN. A. and N.Z. LONDON, March 14. Mr. Leslie F. Scott, the new SolicitorGeneral, was returned unopposed for the Exchange Division, Liverpool, the Nationalists deciding at the last moment not to contest the seat because it was considered undesirable to hamper the Government till Ireland had received her freedom.
