Graham Symes defeated McLeod, the Middlesbrough arti san player, by 339. The scores at tho close of play to-day in the match of 16,000 up between C. McConachy and M. Inman were: — McConachy (rec. 2000) .. .. 8447 Inman (scratch) 7283 McConachy made a break of 803 unfinished, and Inman breaks of 238 and 142 Symes held the amateur champioivihip in 1917 and 1918. The following year he was defeated by Fry, who retained the title until this year.
