J !♦ FIRST ELECTiON TO-MORROW. TWENTY-ONE CANDIDATES. The election of twelve members o(_ the newly-constituted Auckland Electric Power Board takes place to-morrow. Twenty-ono candidates have been nominated for the 12 »eats on the board, and there are three " tickets" in the field In addition there are three independentcandidates. The City Council and the suburban local bodies are running twelve representatives, these being Miss E. Melville, Messrs. H. N. Bagnajl, M. J. Bennett, T. Bloodworth, J. Dernpsey, W. J. floldsworth, members of the City Council; and Mr. E. G. Clark, One Tree Hill; Mr. S. W. House, Manukau County; Mr. E. D. Mclennan, Papakura; Mr. J. Park, Onehunga; and Messrs. E, H. Potter, Mount Eden, and A. M. Wilson, Mount Albert. The Progressive Citizens' " ticket " comprises Messrs. S. J. Harbutt, F. M. Hills, Albert Spencer, A. E. Lawry. H. T. Goldie, S. I. Crooks, J. Dempsey, R. G. Clark, T. Bloodworth J. Park, E. H. Potter, and W. J. Holdswortb. The third " ticket" is that of the Protestant Political Association, and the candidates it is supporting are :—Miss E. Melville, and Messrs. H. N. Bagnall, M. J. Bennett, J. Dempsev, H. T. Goldie, W. J. Holdsworth, R. G. Clark, S. W. House. E. D. McLennan, J. Park, E. H. Potter, and A. M. Wilson. The independent candidates are: — M'essre. J. Rowe, E. S. Pegler, and W. R Mackesy. The district comprises the City of Auckland, the boroughs of Onehunga, Otahuhu, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, and Newmarket,, the road districts of One Tree Hill and Mount Roskill; the town districts of Ellerslie, Papakura, Papatoetoe, and Manurewa and the County of Manukau. The polling places will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mr P. P. Notley, city valuer and registrar of electors, will act as returning officer.
