HOPE OF SPRING TIDES. [BY' teleobafh.—press association.] DUNEDIN, Saturday. The master of the Orepuki, which arrived from Wellington reported tnat ho sighted off Farewell Spit a three-masted schooner, which ne thought was the yalmarie. The vessel was ashore with her head on to the beach about nine miles west of the Spit lighthouse. The crew were camped ashore in tents. In answer to signals offerinj? assistance of a tow, the maater signalled that the vessel was too hard and fast at tho then state of tho tide, but would possibly refloat with the rising spring tides.
