BONUSES FOR SOLDIERS.
AMERICAN ACTION DOUBTUL. Reuter. WASHINGTON, Feb. 16. Tho President, Mr. W. G. Harding, wrole to the Ways and Means Committee of Ihe House of Representatives declaring that the Soldier Bonus Bill should be postponed until a more favourable time, unless Congress was willing to adopt a general sales tax. The letter makes it doubtful if the' bonus will be passed, as strong opposition exists to the salea tax,
