HORRORS WORSE THAN WAR.

Professor Muredith Atkinson, of Melbourne University, interviewed on his return from tho Russian famine areas, said that tho horrors of the famine wero infinitely more intense than tho worst phaso of the war. It was utterly untrue that fooj intended for relief had been diverted to the Soviet army. The Soviet authorities were doing their best, but he was convinced that the famine was caus-id by the Soviet's requisition of the peasants' food reserves.
