ROBBED ON THE ROAD.
MASKED MEN WITH GUNS. SMALL SUM SECURED. [Bt TELEGRAPH.— FRKSS ASSOCIATION.] TAUMARUNUI. Wednesday. The police are investigating a case of highway robbery. A man named McKenzie was going home on Saturday night when he was waylaid by two men wearing masks and carrying _ revolvers. Thcv robbed him of seven shillings and Biipence. It is believed they stopped the wrong man. Another resident living in the vicinity arrived that night by a race train froni Te Kuiti with £200 in his pocket, but he got home safely.
