Tho meeting tffecided that owing to the great amount of organisation work required to be done as the result of the great increase in scouting during the past 12 months, also owing to the financial position, it would be impossible to spare Captain Cossgrove this year. Captain Cossgrovo reported that as a result of his visit to Dunedin he had selected and purchased from tho Union Steam Ship Company nino boats suitable for sea scouts. It was decided that his action in purchasing the boatg be ap■proved, that repairs suggested should be carried out, and that he should report to the next meeting his proposed distribution of the boats, bringing forward draft regulations in regard to their care, persons to be responsible therefor, proposed form of agreement to be signed, and estimated cost of insurance of boats against loss.
The holding of a Dominion scout rally in Christchurch during the Christmas ana New Year holidays, 1922-23, was approved.
