QUARRYMEN POISONED.
LETHAL FUMES IN TUNNEL. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Feb. 14. Four married men working in a tunnel of the North Goulbum quarry were poisoned by fumes probably due to a mixture of chlorate of potash and almond oil, which was used for explosive purposes. John McCarron died after admission to the hospital. Herbert Papworth, Frederick Rankmore, and Frank Uoldberg are seriously ill.
