♦ ! FALLS INTO RIVER. [BI TELEGRAPH.—T-RESS ASSOCIATION.] OPOTIKI, Tuesday. Edward Frank Collins, contractor for the county council, was drowned in the river at Matahanea yesterday. Deceased went to gather fern for a camp and did not return. The police found a sack in the river and Collins' body in a pool of water 10ft. deep. Deceased leaves a widow and six young children.
