DEATH AFTER CHLOROFORM.
YOUNG WOMAN COLLAPSES. v [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT-] MORRINSVILLE. Thursday. The death occurred yesterday of Miss Elizabeth Collins, aged 27 years, a re«i-. dent of Tahuroa, Morrinsville, following the extraction of teeth. At the inquest to-day medi p a] evidence , was given that ths deceased suffered from pyorrhea and blood poisoning. The ur- ' gent extraction of her teeth was advisedA little chloroform was given, and the deceased recovered after her teeth bad been extracted. Two hours later she collapsed and died. \ The doctor staled that the deceased would have eventually died from blood poisoning. The jury returned a verdict that death was caused by toxemia and pyorrhea, accelerated by •shock and ha2morrhage. The evidence showed every care had been taken by the doctor and the dentist.
