THE CROTHALL WAY COMPANY

ITS OPERATIONS NOW COVER THE ENTIRE DOMINION! Attention has been drawn in these columns on more than ono occasion to the remarkable progress achieved by the Crothall Way Company, whose headquarters are situate at 137, Symonds Street, Auckland. That progress, it is interesting to note, continues. From a very humble enterprise this concern has now developed into a very considerable I New Zealand industry, involving the expenditure of a substantial amount of capital, and giving constant employment to a number of skilled workers. The founder of this flourishing business, Mr. E. E. Crothall, may truly bo described as a specialist in the art of renovating wearing apparel and restoring it to usefulness. In this way he has saved the people of New Zealand many thousands of pounds, and may therefore be said to well merit the very liberal patronage accorded to him. Mr. Crothall, bo it noted, is not merely an adept at transforming old clothing into what, for all practical purposes, may he conisidered new clothing, but is also a practical tailcl and thus has the advantage of all of his competitors in his especial line of business. For years he -was a member of the staff of the famous London firm of Scott and Company, Albermarle Street, tailors by appointment to Royalty. Tlius he can not only restore well-worn suits, costumes, coats, etc., to something like their original attractiveness, but he can also, if need be (assisted by his utafl), completely remodel these garments so that they illustrate the very newest fashions. Another of his activities is the making of the famous Crothall suite to measure, orders for which he is constantly executing for both town and country customers. Those suits are exceptionally well made, with quite a distinctive cut and style. A new departure in connection with this business was the opening in the populous suburb of Parnell of ( a branch where every description of clothing is renovated daily in the most artistio manner. The Crothall Way Company also now specialises in the renovation and roblocking of felt hats and panamas, having only recently installed a complete plant for the carrying on of the work. The company is now making a feature, too, of the thorough cleaning of carpets, rugs, curtains, mats, and -so forth. And, as evidencing the spirit of enterprise that is shaping the destinies of this concern It may be mentioned that it has established at the end of every important oection of our tramway system a Crothall Way Agency. Well don*, Mr. Crothall!
