LABOUR DEFEATED. [by tbleoraph.—press association.] CHRISTCHUKCH, Wednesday. Interest was added to the Tramway Board election by the entry of a number of Labour candidates, none of whom, however, was returned. Only two changes were made in the personnel o) the board, despite the fact that the e'ection was conducted under an extended franchise) giving votes to all per sons eligible to vote at Parliamentary elections.
