RIFLE SHOOTING.
CITY AND SUBURBS CLUB. The City and Suburbs Defence Rifle dub held its opening ceremony for the 1921-2 season at the Penrose range on Saturday. There was a good attendance of members and club supporters. The president, Mr. G. H. Hughes, addressed those present and extended a hearty welcome to all. The keen interest manifested in the club was indicated by, the number of trophies donaieu tor competition during tho season. A handsome cup to be known as the Judson Cup to commemorate the deeds of Lieutenant R, 8. Judson. V.C.. D.C.M-. M.M., in the Great War was donated by Mr. W. G. Lowe. Lieutenant Judson, who was present, gave an instructive address and expressed his thanks for the honour conferred on him. The range-keeper, Mr. W. J. Morgan, was presented by the president, on behalf of the club, with an engraved tobacco pouch. Owing to the heavy rain little shooting was done and after a few rounds had been fired the ceremony closed
