Professor J. MacMillan Brown left for the South by the Main Trunk express last evening.
Mr. W. Dallard. advisory accountant to the Board of Trade, returned to Wellington by the Main Trunk express last evening.
Dr. Eva Day, who was assistant medical officer at the Timarn hospital, has received an appointment in Dunedin. Her position in Timaru will be taken by Dr. Hazel Paterson. of Manaia. Dr. Day is a daughter of Mr. V. G. Day, S.M-, president of the Land Values Assessment Court.
Professor J. P. Gabbatt, who occupies the chair of mathematics at Canterbury College. Christchurch, granted leave of absence for the 1922 session at a meeting of the Board of Governors yesterday, says a Press Association message. Mr. E. J. Pitman, of Melbourne, was appointed to fill the .vacancy during Professor Gabbatt's absence.
