When cycLng home he collided with another cyclist, and he had just fallen to the ground when a motor-car came along and almost ran over him. The driver of the car put his brakes on quickly and stopped the car from going over the inspector's body. As it was he sustained severe injuries to his chest and a broken collarbone.
