FOUND DEAD ON FLOOR.
«*>. FATALITY AT DEVONPORT. A widow, Mrs. Edith Lucy Tye, aged 61, was found dead at her residence, Kiwi Road, Devonport, early last evening. Deceased had been alone in the house during the afternoon. When one of her daughters returned from Auckland at 5.45 p.m., she found the house locked up, and obtained an entrance by climbing in through a window. She then discovered her mother lying dead on the kitchen floor. The room was full of gas ond one of the gas pipes was turned on. Attached to the pipe was the gas-iron tube, which was near deceased's moutb. Dr. Hr C. Bennett was summoned, but found that life had been extinct for about an hour. Deceased is survived by two 30ns and two daughters. An inquest will be held this morning
