FORMATION OF PARTY.
BEJECTION BY CONFERENCE. [BY telegraph—press association.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday.
A motion emanating from North Canterbury -was before the Dominion Farmers' Union Conference to-day: " That the formation of another political party is at present, inadvisable, but, as many matters of great importance to the farming community urgently require attention, the Dominion executive be requested to prepare a statement of our requirements to be presented to the Government and members supporting the Government." When called upon to move the motion, Mr. W. A. Banks secured leave to delete fii the -words after "inadvisable." After lengthy argument the motion was carried,by 30 votes to 7.
